This entry includes the first part of the e-book "Pripovedništvo Jožeta Kerenčiča" (The narrative prose of Jože Kerenčič) by author Laura Mohorko (COBISS.SI-ID 289813251, ISBN 978-961-7283-38-9). For decades, Jože Kerenčič’s narrative prose remained virtually unexamined due to ideological factors and his pre-war political activities, and it has been largely overlooked since Slovenia gained independence. As the author in question is one of the less prominent figures of social realism, very few literary historians have focused on his prose works. During the interwar period, Jože Kerenčič was an exceptionally active advocate of revolution and a speaker rallying the people to uprising in the Eastern Styria region.
