This entry contains the first part of the e-book »Veselje v gledanju« (The joy of watching) by Rastko Močnik published by Založba /*cf in Ljubljana in 2026 (COBISS.SI-ID: 282094851, 978-961-257-002-6) The work deals with the theory of visual arts, specifically “from both ends”—from the perspective of artistic practice and from the perspective of the practice of viewing. In his specific analyses (Marko Kovačič, Alenka Pirman, Sanja Ivekovič, etc.), the author has linked the conceptual apparatus with a historical approach and, on the basis of structural analysis, has illustrated the historical development of the visual arts and attempted to answer the open questions of contemporary art.
