Bojan Sedmak has gathered the body of work he has produced to date—material that falls outside the realm of pure literature, yet has accumulated over decades not merely to survive, but to remain strikingly relevant and unconventional—into thirty-three "triads." A creative omnivore and a polymath with an abundance of talent, he has selected a vast array of pieces: from surprisingly mature high school essays and substantive articles to brilliant interviews, vivid diary entries, and knowledgeable critiques; from witty ink-penned letters, book-jacket blurbs, and radio broadcasts to greetings, reports, reviews, rankings, sonnets, and lists; and even including literary-musical performances, letters to the editor, song lyrics, event scripts, performance art, invitations, and haikus. Arranged according to the author’s own selection, these texts carry the weight of credible documentation while simultaneously offering sincere, sparkling personal confessions and clear ideological stances. They reveal a witty, methodical chronicler, thinker, critic, media veteran, and public figure, allowing us to follow a well-informed, vitalistic observer of the world—and of himself within it. Yet, a shared passion and a fundamental respect for everyone and everything run through all the genres and registers of his writing. Consequently, his work is distinctly original, created without making concessions to himself or his surroundings. |
