In the novel "What remains of the night", we follow the young Konstantinos Kavafis as, in 1897, he brings a two-month journey through England and France to an end in Paris. Over the course of just three days spent wandering through the metropolis, drifting, daydreaming, recalling memories, indulging in erotic fantasies, and reflecting on literature and art in general, it becomes clear that poetry is the only country to which he is devoted with his whole being. |
