On Saturday, September 19th between 9:00 and 14:00, the CLARIN.SI computers and, therefore, all its services will be off-line due to regular maintenance of the main transformer station at the Jožef Stefan Institute.
On Thursday, 18.6.2020, an e-conference on Research Data and European Open Science Cloud took place. The conference intended to present development in establishing a national node of Research Data Alliance (RDA Node Slovenia) and presenting achievements thus far.
On April 29 2020, Tomaž Erjavec held three lectures at the Faculty of computer science and informatics, University of Ljubljana, about the CLARIN.SI research infrastructure and its repository and the TEI recommendations for language data annotation.

On May 6 2020, we held a getting-to-know-each-other online session of the CLASSLA workshop that was supposed to start that day in Ljubljana, but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis. The session was a very enjoyable experience as can be read about in the short description of the event.
We have updated the list of frequently asked questions about the operation and use of the CLARIN.SI repository, and added some new questions. If you do not find an answer to your question, please contact us on info@clarin.si.
On 11th March 2020, Research Data Alliance Slovenia (RDA Slovenia) and Social Science Data Archives (ADP) organised a workshop on Research Data Management. The participants received an overview of examples of data managements plans, tools for data management plan creation and processes within four Slovene repositories with CLARIN.SI being one of them. One of the aims of the workshop was also co-creation of the Slovene version of the document 23 Things: Libraries for Research Data.

We are happy to announce that the CLARIN.SI Projects webpage now holds descriptions of projects that were supported by CLARIN.SI in 2019. Similar to 2018, the projects’ aims were diverse and covered upgrading existent tools and resources to creating new ones. The projects and the number of new entries in the repository show the growing interest and awareness among researchers with regard to language resources and technologies.
The CLARIN.SI Call for Projects for 2020 will be published in March.
On January 23rd 2020, the Commission for Research and Development Work of the University of Ljubljana and the Slovenian OpenAIRE-Advance National Open Access Desk organised the Open Science Workshop which offered presentations on the new developments in the area of Open Science, and the opportunity for participants to exchange good practices and incentives for a more active engagement of Slovene researchers in open science. Darja Fišer and Tomaž Erjavec gave a talk about the efforts that are made in CLARIN ERIC and CLARIN.SI for the advancement of open science. The programme, presentations and videos can be found here. In November, RDA Node Slovenia and its partners organised a conference on Open Research Data in Slovenia. A short report on the conclusions of the conference is available here.
Our Bulgarian colleagues, Petya Osenova and Kiril Simov, have prepared FAQ on the Bulgarian language resources and technologies as part of the CLASSLA knowledge centre for South Slavic languages. This is the first joint activity of CLARIN.SI and CLADA-BG inside CLASSLA, with the next one being the addition of Bulgarian to the CLASSLA ReLDIanno text annotation services.
