 Description

This entry contains the first part of the audiobook "Hana in Bambina" (Hana and Bambina) by author Boris Karlovšek (COBISS.SI-ID 301208835, ISBN 978-961-291-581-0), read by Boris Car. Hana couldn’t care less about studying—her only ambition is to become a model. Outrageously conceited and given a generous allowance, she believes money can buy anything. Everything goes smoothly for her until unexpected developments shake the family business. Hana travels to Milan with her father, who is trying to salvage what he can by securing a contract with the owner of a thriving company. There she encounters Bambina, an injured young mare facing euthanasia. Hana persuades Enzo, the company director and Bambina’s owner, as well as her own father, a veterinarian, that Bambina deserves a second chance. The three-year-old filly was supposed to compete in a major horse race. Horse racing is a tough sport, and only the best win. Can Hana and her friend Bepe, a professional jockey, get Bambina ready to race? Is Hana right to suspect that Enzo is involved in shady dealings? Who will win the ultimate race, the Milan Grand Prix, which qualifies the winning horse to compete in America’s most prestigious races?
