Living between two worlds fills Lara with anxiety, but it is the arrival of a blue envelope that shakes her life so profoundly that she decides to act. Her path then becomes fatefully intertwined with the lives of a group of refugees at the Slovenian–Croatian border. The story unfolds in 2015, a year in which the future of many people – like Lara’s – was dangerously unsettled. Don’t worry, Lara! is a story of confinement, escape and the search for a way forward. It is also a story of youth, hope and new beginnings, told by Lara herself with honesty, sharp insight, humour and great sensitivity. |
