This entry contains the first part of the e-book "Društvo starejših bratov" (The society of older brothers) by author Nataša Konc Lorenzutti (COBISS ID: 277851907, ISBN: 978-961-272-873-1). Being an older brother is not easy, and Nace knows this all too well. Tired of his younger brother’s constant teasing and mischief, he decides to form a Society of Older Brothers together with two classmates who know this role all too well themselves. The society is dedicated to protecting older brothers; its members fight for their rights, organize campaigns and conspiracies, and report to one another at meetings on how things are improving. The story unfolds both at school and at home, where the author, with an excellent feel for language, brings the main character’s relationships with family members and peers to life. The use of colloquial and dialect words draws readers even further into the story, emphasizing the authenticity of situations that most of us experienced, to a greater or lesser extent, during childhood. The book is also suitable for reluctant readers.
