This entry includes the first part of the e-book "Podalpske odštekanke" (Weird Stories from under the Alps) by author Miša Gams (COBISS.SI-ID 275107587, ISBN 978-961-7272-52-9). It is not every day that an ancient animal like the mammoth rises from the dead in Kamnik. The book is first and foremost a story about Kamnik – about the Alpine landscape, about medieval streets, about city institutions and about people rushing about their daily business. A resident of Kamnik has decided to present her city to the world, and her relatively privileged access to knowledge and experience justifies the attention that we are undoubtedly willing to give to her words.
