Sample from the audiobook "Med vsemi njunimi svetovi" (Between all their worlds)
Dolenc, Petra
This entry contains the first part of the audiobook "Med vsemi njunimi svetovi" (Between all their worlds) by author Petra Dolenc (COBISS ID: 278854659, ISBN: 978-961-7198-88-1).

A story for everyone who wants to heal their wounds and experience love in its purest form. Love does not hurt. What hurts are the fears and wounds of the past that we try to project onto it. Each of us carries scars left by the past. But the past is not something you can simply set aside. If you do not face it, it will consume you and steal away the chance for a new beginning. Stela, too, was deeply wounded in the past. That is why she now longs for more—more than crumbs, more than superficial connections. Yet despite the pain, love remains the most beautiful force in her world, even though she unconsciously runs from it. Tim has loved before. And he has lost. Grief and guilt have stripped him of everything he once was. Love shaped him—and destroyed him. That is why he no longer believes in happy endings… until he meets her.

If she wants to be the kind of mother and partner her loved ones deserve, she must first take care of herself. She must pursue her own dreams and bring her soul’s gifts into the world. The greater and more important a lesson is for your growth and development, the more often it will appear in different forms, until you have learned it and received its sweet gift—just as refreshing lemon juice is the gift hidden within lemonade. Not only your body, but everything in your life has been created by you, and all of it can be changed according to your wishes. Have you ever noticed how often you are somewhere else mentally instead of fully experiencing the moment? How sometimes you eat lunch or drink a coffee so quickly that afterward you have to ask yourself whether you actually did it? How often are you in a beautiful place and yet fail to fully appreciate its beauty?

If someone had given me the tools and knowledge during my childhood to understand what to do with all the weight and thoughts racing through my mind, I might have navigated my teenage years with greater ease. If you are looking for a way to empower and equip a child for life, then this book is the right choice. Discover how Mrs. Berta helped Lovro make sense of his difficulties (at school) and transformed him into a real detective—a detective of his own thoughts.

Sample from the audiobook "Praktično učenje" (Practical learning)

Make learning less strenuous, faster, and more effective. That way, you'll breeze through every exam with ease. Why learn about learning? Because it can bring very tangible benefits. Although concepts such as learning, knowledge, and assessment are usually associated first and foremost with school and formal educational institutions, learning is much more than that. True, we learn because we have to—for example, at school—but also because it enables us to achieve something practical (such as obtaining a driver's license, learning to dance, crochet, or play a musical instrument) or otherwise beneficial. In reality, learning is something we engage in over and over again, often without even realizing it or thinking of it as learning. In other words, we are dealing with an activity that we carry out throughout our entire lives in one form or another, yet we may not know whether we are doing it correctly. There is, in fact, a possibility that we are doing it completely wrong. If we have the opportunity to perform a task—in this case, learning—more easily, more quickly, with less effort, and with better results, there is hardly any reason not to take advantage of it. In any area of life. That is why it makes sense to learn about learning. And that is why it makes sense to read this book.

Two travelers in the company of a legendary mountaineer (Viki Grošelj) and a group of passionate hikers, exploring a land that greets you with culture shock on one hand and indescribable beauty and serenity on the other. What they all share is a love of the mountains. It is a country that first shocks you, then repels you, and finally draws you in irresistibly—much like the mountains that reign over this part of the world. A land infused with a special energy, where dreams can become reality. A tribute, therefore, to the Himalayas, whose incredible energy can attract you, push you away, or welcome you into their home.

I am a mother who has faced the addiction of my beloved daughter. I want to share our experience so that parents understand that addiction is not something that happens somewhere far away, to someone else. It can happen to those we love most. So that they do not waste precious time in denial and excuses, but instead understand that the struggle with addiction is a shared struggle for the entire family. That the opposite of addiction is connection, and that we should once again surround our addicted, lost child with love. Because there is so much more to them than the drug—so much more that we, as parents, must come to know, understand, and accept. Let this sincere letter to you be a first step, a source of encouragement that may help families like ours and other Anjas. May it help people realize in time that addiction is not a universe unto itself, and that an addict is not solely their own problem. That the family is part of the cause and must become part of the solution. That addiction will not simply disappear on its own. That there is no point in wasting precious time on shame, fear, and avoiding responsibility. That we must courageously ask the right questions and be prepared to hear honest answers. That we must seek a loving and patient path back to our lost and frightened child, listen to them, and truly hear them. Accept the resentments that are difficult to express and difficult to hear. Give them the gift of our time and attention. Offer them our shoulder and walk the difficult road alongside them, getting up again and again, persevering until the very end. And may other Anjas find trust in their parents once more, knowing that their parents will be there for them when no one else is.
